Restaurants can brand their booth and give out collateral (i.e. souvenirs, cards, coupons, etc.). All chefs are required to bring their own cooking equipment (knives, tongs, extra equipment). Also please bring a copy of your NYC Restaurant Permit/License. Keep in mind the event space has no kitchen. We recommend most of the prep work be done before hand, however cooking will be permitted on-site.
Judging & The World Food Championship
In addition to food-loving attendees, a selection of local food writers, chefs and influencers will be on site to try all of the dishes served and select winners for several “best of” fried food awards. The winner of the “Best Overall Dish” will receive a $1,000 travel stipend and entry into the 2016 World Food Championships in Kissimmee, Florida. All World Food Championship contestants have the chance to advance and win $300,000! Restaurants must participate in both sessions of the 2016 Whiskey Fried to qualify for this opportunity.
Share your unique dish with 3,000+ foodies and whiskey lovers! Our prime demographic ranges from 25-40 years old and make an average yearly income of over $75,000. They love eating out, trying new restaurants and supporting local businesses. Engage with these guests on site and through #WhiskeyFried social media campaigns leading up to the festival.
This year, we are expanding our food recovery efforts and our partnership with the local nonprofit City Harvest and One Brick. We will send City Harvest's official food recovery guidelines to you over the next few weeks so that you can plan accordingly. Thank you in advance for helping us produce an event that benefits the community and supports such an important organization.
